ABS/ESP Bosch ESP 9.0 – EEPROM 95256 (VAG)

Professional file processing and full bench service for Bosch ESP 9.0 ABS/ESP control units, equipped with 95256 EEPROM and installed on VAG group vehicles.

DTC C123E:F0 Reset and Cloning operations are available between technically compatible control units.

Error code C123E:F0 – ‘Hydraulic brake booster: intervention limit reached’ is associated with reaching the programmed limit for Hydraulic Boost Compensation (HBC) system interventions, which can occur following brake assist system anomalies.

The DTC may persist even after the original cause is repaired and may not be clearable using standard diagnostic procedures.

Specialist service for analysis and potential restoration of data stored in the ABS/ESP unit related to error code C123E:F0.

Service is available via original EEPROM file processing or by shipping the physical unit to our laboratory.

Before intervention, it is essential to identify and completely resolve the root cause of the anomaly, checking the vacuum system, brake booster, and other involved components.

The possibility of data intervention is evaluated based on hardware version, module status, and applicable repair requirements. The service does not replace the manufacturer’s safety procedures.

Cloning
Required material: original ABS/ESP unit and donor unit

Transfer of necessary data from the original unit to a technically compatible replacement unit, aimed at preserving the module’s identification and configuration information.

The procedure includes unit identification, reading available data from the original unit, programming the replacement unit, and verification of operations.

Cloning is available exclusively via full bench service at Tsec Engineering.

Cloning does not constitute a repair of the braking system and does not eliminate any fault or protection conditions present in the original unit.

SERVICE MODALITIES

Online file processing – DTC Reset only

The customer must provide the original, complete, and unmodified dump of the 95256 EEPROM memory.

It is also necessary to provide the Bosch identification codes, OEM reference, and the diagnosis related to the ABS/ESP system.

File processing is subject to technical compatibility verification and confirmation that the root cause of the fault has been identified and resolved.

Complete processing at Tsec Engineering

The customer must physically ship the ABS/ESP unit to our laboratory.

For the cloning service, both units must be sent:

• Original unit: unit previously installed on the vehicle, containing the data to be transferred.
• Donor unit: functioning and technically compatible replacement unit.

Units must be clearly identified as ‘original’ and ‘donor’.

Shipping to Tsec Engineering is the responsibility and at the expense of the customer. Shipping costs calculated at checkout refer exclusively to the return of the processed material.

COMPATIBILITY AND FILE REQUIREMENTS

The service is dedicated to Bosch ESP 9.0 units equipped with 95256 EEPROM and belonging to supported hardware versions.

Before processing, the module must be identified using the Bosch and VAG OEM codes found on the label or via diagnostics.

For file processing, the following is required:

• Provide the original 95256 EEPROM dump, complete and unmodified.
• Indicate the Bosch and OEM references of the unit.
• Provide the complete DTC code and available diagnostic documentation.
• Confirm identification and repair of the root cause of the fault.

For cloning, the original unit data must be readable and the replacement unit must be functional and technically compatible.

The presence of the same Bosch family or the same EEPROM memory does not alone guarantee compatibility between units.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

The ABS/ESP system is a critical component for vehicle safety.

Code C123E:F0 may indicate that a protection limit set by the manufacturer has been reached. For some applications, the official procedure requires replacement of the ABS/ESP unit.

Data processing does not constitute a manufacturer-approved repair, does not certify the restoration of safety functions, and must not be used to bypass existing protection conditions.

The service does not include repair of hardware faults in the control unit, hydraulic group, brake booster, or other braking system components.

After processing, all diagnostic checks, any coding and calibration procedures, and functional tests required by the manufacturer must be performed by qualified personnel.

The vehicle must not be used until the correct operation and safety of the braking system have been verified.
