AIRBAG TRW VW22 – MCU INFINEON TC224L-16F / TC234L-32F

Professional data processing and service for TRW VW22 Airbag ECUs used in VAG group applications and based on Infineon TC224L-16F or TC234L-32F MCUs.

The two microcontroller variants belong to the same family of ECUs and are managed through the same service operations.

The service allows for Crash Reset, B2000 error FIX, and ECU Cloning operations, depending on the selected processing mode.

AVAILABLE OPERATIONS

Crash Reset

Allows for the removal of crash event data from the Airbag ECU, restoring the content required to reuse the module.

For file processing, it is necessary to provide:

• D-Flash of the Infineon TC224L-16F or TC234L-32F MCU

The operation is available via both file processing and full module service.

B2000 error FIX

Allows for the correction of data associated with the B2000 error stored in the Airbag ECU, restoring the content required for correct module operation.

For file processing, it is necessary to provide:

• D-Flash of the Infineon TC224L-16F or TC234L-32F MCU

The operation is available via both file processing and full module service.

ECU Cloning

Allows for the transfer of necessary data from the original ECU to the target ECU.

Cloning is performed exclusively through full module service.

It is necessary to send:

• Original Airbag ECU
• Target Airbag ECU

To ensure correct compatibility, the two ECUs must have the same part numbers.

SERVICE MODALITIES

File processing

The customer independently performs the ECU reading and sends us the required file.

For Crash Reset and B2000 error FIX operations, the D-Flash of the Infineon TC224L-16F or TC234L-32F MCU must be provided.

Once processing is complete, the modified file will be returned, ready to be written to the ECU.

This mode is available for:

• Crash Reset
• B2000 error FIX

Full module service

The customer physically sends the Airbag ECU to Tsec Engineering.

The laboratory directly handles the reading, processing, and programming of the module.

This mode is available for:

• Crash Reset
• B2000 error FIX
• ECU Cloning

For cloning, both the original ECU and the target ECU must be sent.

REQUIRED DATA

Depending on the selected operation:

• Crash Reset: D-Flash
• B2000 error FIX: D-Flash
• Cloning: original ECU + target ECU with the same part numbers

FILE PROCESSING PROCEDURE

After purchasing the service:

• Read the D-Flash of the Infineon TC224L-16F or TC234L-32F MCU
• Send the file following the instructions received with the order
• Wait for the return of the processed file
• Write the modified file to the ECU

Correct reading and writing of the module remain the customer’s responsibility when the File processing mode is selected.

MODULE SHIPPING

In the case of full service, the ECU must be shipped to Tsec Engineering at the customer’s care and expense.

For cloning, both modules must be shipped, clearly identifying:

• Original ECU
• Target ECU

The shipping costs selected during checkout refer exclusively to the return shipping of the processed material.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Before purchasing the service, verify that the ECU corresponds to a supported TRW VW22 version with Infineon TC224L-16F or TC234L-32F MCU.

For cloning, it is necessary to use a target ECU with the same part numbers as the original ECU.
