FOMOCO (AUTOLIV) AIRBAG – INFINEON XC2361B-40F / XC2336A-72F MCU

Professional service dedicated to FoMoCo Airbag / RCM units manufactured by Autoliv and equipped with Infineon XC2361B-40F or XC2336A-72F microcontrollers, used on numerous Ford applications.

Crash Reset and Cloning operations are available.

The Crash Reset service can be performed via file processing or through complete ECU bench service. Cloning, however, requires the physical shipment of the unit.

AVAILABLE OPERATIONS

Crash Reset
Dump required: Flash1 for XC2361B-40F MCU / Flash3 for XC2336A-72F MCU

Allows for the removal of crash data stored in the Airbag control unit following a collision event, restoring the memory content on compatible versions.

Depending on the installed microcontroller, you must provide:

• Flash1 for Infineon XC2361B-40F MCU
• Flash3 for Infineon XC2336A-72F MCU

Service compatibility is verified based on the specific hardware and software version of the control unit.

Cloning
Complete ECU service

Allows for the transfer of necessary data from the original unit to a compatible donor unit.

For this operation, you must physically send the original unit and the donor unit to Tsec Engineering.

Compatibility between the two units is verified before processing.

SERVICE MODALITIES

File processing – Crash Reset

The customer independently performs the unit reading and sends the required content based on the installed microcontroller:

• Flash1 for Infineon XC2361B-40F
• Flash3 for Infineon XC2336A-72F

The dump must come from the control unit to be processed and must be complete and correctly read.

Once processing is complete, the modified file will be returned, ready to be programmed into the control unit.

Complete ECU service

Alternatively, you can physically send the unit to Tsec Engineering.

For Crash Reset, the laboratory will handle unit identification, reading the correct memory, processing the content, programming, and final testing.

For cloning, you must send both the original unit and the donor unit. The laboratory will perform the compatibility check and the transfer of necessary data.

Shipping the units to Tsec Engineering is at the customer’s care and expense. The fees selected during checkout refer exclusively to the return shipping of the processed units.

COMPATIBILITY AND FILE REQUIREMENTS

FoMoCo / Autoliv Airbag units can be equipped with different hardware and software versions.

Depending on the variant, an Infineon XC2361B-40F or Infineon XC2336A-72F microcontroller may be installed.

There is no external EEPROM used for these operations.

For file processing, the correct memory content must be provided:

• Flash1 for XC2361B-40F
• Flash3 for XC2336A-72F

Sent dumps must be complete, correctly read, and originate from the unit to be processed.

Corrupted, incomplete, or previously modified files may require additional verification or may not be compatible with the requested service.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Crash Reset intervenes exclusively on the data stored in the Airbag control unit.

Before reinstalling the unit on the vehicle, all SRS system components involved in the collision event must be checked and, when necessary, replaced or restored.

Clearing crash data does not resolve hardware failures, faulty wiring, damaged sensors, activated pretensioners, or other non-functioning SRS components.
