Bosch MED17.5.21 ECU – Infineon TC1782 MCU (VAG)

ECU BOSCH MED17.5.21 – MCU INFINEON TC1782

Professional service dedicated to Bosch MED17.5.21 engine ECUs with Infineon TC1782 microcontroller, used on numerous Audi, SEAT, Škoda and Volkswagen applications.

The work is performed based on the specific ECU software version. Within the same hardware family, different software versions may be present, with functions and management strategies that are not always identical.

The service is available both as file processing and as complete ECU work.

AVAILABLE OPERATIONS

Immobilizer deactivation

Allows modification of the data necessary to deactivate the engine ECU immobilizer function.

Work availability is verified based on the specific software version and the original ECU configuration.

Catalytic converter deactivation

Allows modification of the software management related to catalytic converter efficiency monitoring.

Depending on the specific ECU software version and engine configuration, the work may include deactivation of diagnostic checks associated with the following DTCs:

• P0420 / P0421 – Catalytic converter efficiency bank 1 below threshold

The DTCs actually managed depend on the software version and vehicle configuration.

Before the intervention, it is necessary to verify the correct operation of the Lambda sensors upstream and downstream of the catalytic converter and the absence of anomalies independent of the catalytic converter system. The sensors must remain installed and operational.

Speed limiter deactivation

Allows deactivation of the speed limiter managed by the engine ECU software.

This work is available exclusively when the limiter is included in the original ECU software configuration. Compatibility is therefore verified on the specific software version.

SERVICE MODALITIES

File processing

For remote processing, it is necessary to provide the complete contents of the Infineon TC1782 MCU:

• P-Flash
• D-Flash

The dumps must come from the ECU to be processed, be intact and correctly read.

It is also recommended to indicate the complete ECU software number as it represents one of the main references used to verify the compatibility of the requested work.

Once processing is complete, the modified files ready to be programmed into the ECU will be returned.

Complete ECU service

Alternatively, you can physically send the unit to Tsec Engineering.

The laboratory will directly handle ECU identification, reading of P-Flash and D-Flash contents, software compatibility verification, requested processing, programming and final testing.

Shipping the ECU to Tsec Engineering is at the customer’s care and expense. The fees selected during checkout refer exclusively to the return shipping of the processed control unit.

SOFTWARE COMPATIBILITY

Bosch MED17.5.21 ECUs are available with numerous different software versions within the VAG group.

For this reason, compatibility is not determined exclusively by the vehicle model or ECU family, but primarily by the specific ECU software version.

The application list can be used to search for versions already catalogued by:

• vehicle application
• Bosch reference, when available
• OEM code, when available
• ECU software number

Bosch and OEM references are progressively added to directly verified applications.

If your ECU software is not present in the list, please contact us before purchase for a compatibility check.

FILE REQUIREMENTS AND VERIFICATION

The files sent must come from the ECU to be worked on and be valid and complete.

Corrupted, incomplete or already modified files may require additional verification or may not be compatible with the requested work.

When the ECU already contains previous modifications, it is recommended to report this at the time of submission. Some operations may in fact require that the affected software areas are still original.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

The availability of individual works may vary depending on the original vehicle configuration and the specific ECU software version.

Modifications that affect emission control systems, vehicle performance or speed limits may render the vehicle non-compliant with applicable regulations.

Such operations must be used exclusively in the contexts and conditions permitted by current regulations. It is the customer’s responsibility to verify the compliance of vehicle use in the country where it is operated.

In case of doubts about ECU identification, files to send or compatibility of a specific work, contact us before placing the order.
